Daily Glimpse Into Tunisia's Multifaceted Heritage since 2016.
Another gem of a patio amid one more facet of Tunisia’s Moorish fine heritage: Mausoleum of Sidi Kacem Jelizi, converted into an educational hub of evergreen Ceramic Art, composed through the lens of Jamel Ben Saidane - Keep inspired!
Then.. we hop into the bewitching labyrinths and shapes of old city Tunis, seeking solace in this little court, once home to Medersa - a former school from Tunisia’s Ottoman era - named after its ageless palm tree, skillfully framed by Hassen Lazrek
Next property: Revisited Dar El Haddad, one of the oldest palaces in Tunisia’s cosmopolitan old Tunis.. Originally built by its Andalusian guests, hence its name, today lovingly repurposed by the guardians of the Medina and captured by Nour Echi
Solace & Palace next door: Dar Othman, first cherished as a home by Tunisia’s past ruler Othman Dey four centuries ago.. As if captured back then.. by time traveler and Tunis explorer Feriel Mesbah
Modern downtown, too, teems with history and peace, like here, in this “Hidden Court” found by urban explorer Mourad Ben Cheikh Ahmed aka “Lost in Tunis”.. Tunisia.. Join in!
Interestingly.. Old city hides unsuspected shades and touches within some of its secret, carefree corners, highlighted by Tunis lover Mourad Ben Cheikh Ahmed - An ode and a call to Tunisia’s creative youth
Another scent of Tunisia’s old yet modern patios, savored and pictured by Issam Barhoumi at Palace Lella Chedlya.. a tribute to a former queen.. in the very heart of the Mistress of the Mediterranean: Carthage
“Fantastically beautiful ❤️❤️” - Morena M. - IT
Next luxurious patio stands underground: The House The Hunt, preserved for about two millennia in Bulla Regia, northwestern modern-day Tunisia through the lens of its son Skander Zarrad
